Tom Mayes of the British Council Japan will discuss his experiences of working in Japan and Susan Meehan of the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation will introduce the work possibilities offered by the JET Programme.

Regeneration of North East Japan
Professor Kijima, Vice-President of Tohoku University, will give a talk on the recovery of the regions affected by the earthquake and tsunami of 11 March 2011. Tohoku University is located in one of the areas worst-hit by the disaster and Professor Kijima will talk about how his institution and region have fought back following the devastation.
